Rothiemay

This circle is close to the B9117. From Huntly on the A96 drive north on the B9022 to Rothiemay. At the village T junction turn left by a church and then turn right on the B9117, (not the small road in the village). The circle is a short distance ahead on the right hand side close to the road. There is a gate to the field but no real space to park.
There were cows in this field but no crops. Four large stones remain and the 4.3m long recumbent has numerous cupmarks and several cup and ring marks. One of the other circle stones also has cupmarks. This was once a large circle measuring about 28m across but only the 4 stones and the recumbent survive from a probable 12.
