Caesar’s Seat
Stone Setting
Crucuno, Morbihan

If you take the signed footpath beside Mané Groh – the "sentier megalithic" – after about 300m you come to a sign for Caesar’s Seat. A short walk up this right turn and you will find a large collection of huge stones in the trees.

Caesar’s Seat

One very large standing stone had a wedge shape missing near the top that we assume to the “seat” but all around were stones and it is hard to make out if these are rows, arcs or a setting but some of it appears to be a cromlech. Burl mentions a menhir called the “Pope’s Seat” in the vicinity but we couldn’t find out more about these.
