Kenidjack Castle
Cairn circle/enclosure
SW 356 326

Another walk from the campsite at Tregeseal was to cross the road and follow the lane towards the sea, turning left on the footpath, then following the track to the headland and climbing up to Kenidjack Castle.

These are the ruins of an Iron Age hillfort but between them is what is marked as a cairn circle on the map. This is believed to be a Bronze Age round enclosure and the stones are still clear to see. It made a pleasant evening walk and the views are excellent.

Another pleasant walk here to a quiet sandy cove is to drive to the carpark at Pendeen lighthouse about 1.5 miles from Tregeseal and signposted from the coast road. Then follow the path east along the cliff to find the cove for a relax.
