Glenterrow
Four Poster Stone Circle
NX 145 625  Wigtownshire

From the A75 at Glenluce take the minor road north to New Luce. Turn left over a bridge in the town and drive for about 2.5 miles SW and just after some trees on the right there is space to park safely near a left turn to Airyolland. Walk up the road and where there is a bend there is a gate on the right. The circle is just over 250m NW and is quite well hidden in tall grass. It is roughly central between the edge of the trees and the road. Look out for a clump of tall grass and head uphill across quite boggy ground.

View to the northeast

This small rectangular setting, on a low ridge is a four-poster stone circle. It measures 3m x 2.5m. It consists of four boulders, from 0.4m to 0.7m high. About 12m to the northeast there is a possible outlying boulder.

View to the southwest

After visiting Glentirrow the "Caves of Kilhern" a long cairn and series of burial chambers is fairly near.
