Cashelkeelty
Circles and Row

On the R571 west of Lauragh there is a parking space signed to the circles. This is part of the Beara Way long distance footpath. Follow the path up through the trees and over stiles for about ¾ mile to come to the sites. This is an ancient trackway.

Only three stones remain of the small five stone circle and nearby on the south side of it is a row of aligned stones, the tallest reaching 2.4 metres in height.

You can see a row of three stones beyond and just to the west are the remains of another circle, believed to have once been a multiple stone circle of 11 to 13 stones. There are 2 small stones still standing and another fallen.

To the east as you approach the first site appears to be another structure of standing stones and old walls that might also date back to the original early trackway days.
