Turn left at Broadford on the road signed to Elgol. After about 2 miles you will pass a chambered tomb on the right. Continue for about 10 miles to the village of Kirkibost and park in the parking space just beyond the village where there is a footpath. From here you can just make out the circle to the NW where the stream bends around it. It is quite a damp walk as apart from bogs you have to cross a moderately deep stream. If you follow the footpath uphill for a while you can select your own route to the stones below. There is a stile in the fence you have to cross that helps and then the stream to cross – near a bend is shallower.

Three tall stones remain here in a very attractive setting with mountains all around. Two stones are just under 2m (about 6ft) high and the other is about 1.5m (5ft). They are sandstone. A fourth lies partly buried in the peat nearby so we are not certain if this is a similar size as we had nothing to prod the ground with. Only about 1m is visible.
View of the circle showing the fallen stone The photos were taken between light rainfall and descending clouds making it quite an atmospheric, but damp site!
