This is the largest of the southern chain of the Outer Hebrides. It is an unusual landscape as over a third of the island’s surface is covered by water. There are a few megalithic sites around the island such as various standing stones and chambered cairns. The main sites of interest are near the center of the island, the large chambered tomb at Barpa Langass and the two stone circles nearby.
