Sacred Bo tree and leaf

The sacred bo tree near the centre was grown from a cutting from the tree in India where Buddha achieved enlightenment. It has had guardians to watch over it ever since making it the oldest tended tree in the world. Security is very high in the area as it is only 50km from the war zone. However it is an extremely tranquil place even if you get searched every 5 minutes.
