Cromlech Neolithic Burial Chamber (Maen Y Bardd) SH 741 719 A few hundred metres further down the path you will see a superb example of a burial chamber. Combined with the beautiful setting and the architecture of the structure it makes the journey worthwhile even if you walked it from Rowen. The path gets very wet in bad weather and becomes a small stream – good boots are advisable.

This site suffers from being covered in farm fencing and rusty wire. The setting itself looking towards the River Conwy is beautiful which makes the “vandalism” all the more striking.
The tomb has two high portal stones and a very large capstone which has moved and slipped down in the past. It is thought that at one time there was a lintel over the portal stones. Back to Conwy
