After visiting the Nine Ladies return to the layby and cross the road. The wall is damaged where people have climbed over as there is no public footpath to this circle. We crossed the field towards the rock outcrop but turned back as it was getting dark and we wouldn’t find the circle in the trees. Also we had had enough of the ankle deep mud and rain and didn’t trust the cows up ahead.

Return visit
Thanks to Shaun for the more detailed instructions to get to this lovely circle. Keep the outcrop to your right and head downhill, through the gap in the wall and then towards the gate in the far left corner of the field. Go through the gate and keep the trees on your left and the wall on your right and you will come to the circle in the trees.

Doll Tor

This circle is in a very peaceful location and is well worth a visit
