Stone Circle SH 725713 This walk/drive includes two burial chambers, a stone circle and some standing stones set in beautiful scenery. It can be a tough climb if you do it on foot but there is a useful parking space near the top of the hill.

Directions
From the A55 take the A470 signed Betws Y Coed. When the river comes into view on the right take the right turn signed Tyn Y Groes which crosses a bridge over the River Conwy. Continue straight on to Tyn Y Groes, cross over the crossroads into a narrow and steep lane. Continue to Rowen. Just after the pub keep left and follow the very steep narrow lane uphill. (you can park in the village and walk but it is a long way) After two gates, remember to shut them, turn right. Keep on for a mile to the parking area.

From the car park go through the gate and pass a cairn on the left. Ahead by the very unsightly pylons you will see two standing stones about 200 metres apart.

Return to the car park. You can drive back about half a mile until you see stepping stones in the wall on the right and stop in a passing place. If you miss them stop by the first gate in the wall on the right. (They are hard to see as the wall is high) Either go through the gate and walk back or climb over the wall at the stepping stones.

Stone Circle SH 725713

This is a low circle of twelve stones at about 50 feet (15 metres) diameter with two outliers to the northwest and west. It is about 25 metres diameter and the stones are only about 0.5 metre high. The setting and view to the east is very pleasant except for the pylons.

Drive back about half a mile to where the lane meets a track on the left. Park here on the edge. Walk down the track passing a farm building and a solitary standing stone will be seen above the path on the left after a couple of hundred metres.
