Sherberton
Stone circle
SX 639 732

From Two Bridges, near Princetown, head towards Dartmeet. (At Princetown there is a useful all-year campsite behind the Plume of Feathers pub by the roundabout in the town) Take the right turn signed Hexworthy and carry on passing the pub there. (Don’t turn right at the pub or you end up in a farmyard!) Wait until the T junction instead and turn right. You have to park in the space before the cattle grid as vehicles are not allowed any further. The footpath/tarmac road leads to the farm, head west through two gates and keep an eye out for the circle over to the south (left) of the track after about ½ mile.

The circle is beside a wall that actually contains some of the stones. There are about 8 small stones remaining in the NW arc reaching about 2ft (0.6m) in height. However there are two large fallen stones to the SSE measuring 7.5 and 8.5ft (2.2 and 2.6m) and a large slab has been moved into the wall. This site was also fairly flooded and the land around was boggy.
