Sunday 22nd July Inverness-shire Corrimony Turn off the A82 to Inverness at Drumnadrochit where the Loch Ness souvenir shops are, avoid them and continue on the A831 towards Cannich. The turn off to Corrimony is signed after about 8 miles on the left. There is a parking area before the cairn.
The cairn is surrounded by a stone circle with 12 stones mostly around 4-5 feet (1.2-1.5 metres) high. This is a Clava type tomb common in the Inverness area and named after the site near Culloden where there is an extensive cemetery. Ring cairns are low flat piles of stones ringed by an outer kerb with an open space in the cairn interior and bounded by a second kerb.

the tomb entrance (west) are a double and treble standing stone said to be
modern additions to the outer circle as are two to the right (south) of
the entrance that were positioned after 1882.
Tomb entrance and cupmarked capstone On the top of the cairn is a large capstone slab (2.4 by 1.5 metres) with more than 30 cupmarks measuring around 50 mm diameter and 25mm deep.
