This is a diary of a month touring megalithic sites in Scotland during the summer of 2001. There were still some areas with limited access due to the foot and mouth restrictions. The order of the pages follows the route we took from Arran, up through the Kilmartin Valley, then across to the west of Inverness-shire and up to Sutherland and the Orkney Islands returning by the east of Inverness, down to Perthshire and Fife.
Also there is a later visit when we spent a generally wet week in Dumfries and Galloway and a section on a trip to the Western Isles 2002
