Antequera

We hired a car at Granada and headed west to Antequera to visit the three dolmens just northeast of the town. There are signs in the town directing you down very narrow streets to the sites. Finding it almost impossible to park in the town we decided to camp near the national park where there are fantastic limestone formations at Camping Torcal. It turned out to be almost the same price to rent a “hut” rather than put up the tent which was quite nice as the hut had it’s very own modern stone circle around it and another beside it. Another interesting place to visit near the campsite is Lobo Park where they have bred and also rescued many wolves and they are keeping them in as natural conditions as possible to study their behaviour.
